Peter Mense is a Hamilton resident through and through, though some days he does claim Ross first. He joined the US Navy after trying one semester at Miami University and saw that at that stage in his life, college wasn't his best option. So he cruised on his way to US Navy Boot Camp November 3, 2005 in Great Lakes, IL. Upon completion of his training he was assigned to the USS Vella Gulf, Guided Missile Cruiser CG-72 out of Norfolk, VA as a Damage Controlman until September of 2009, at which point he returned to Hamilton to join the Navy Reserves and pursue a college education.

Peter first stepped in the Navy Reserve Community December 2009 and joined the Surgemain Unit as a Hull Technician assigned to NRC Cincinnati. Following that he enrolled at Cincinnati State and Technical Community College to pursue his degree in Fire Service Technology and then continued onto the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Cincinnati with a major in Fire Science.

Upon graduation in December 2014, Peter returned to the workforce and continued serving the Reserves in an honorable manner with Annual Training's completed at the various public shipyards throughout the nation and earning a promotion to Petty Officer First Class and being named the Unit Career Counselor.

Peter resides in Hamilton, is a Church Trustee at Kerusso Baptist. He is married to his beautiful wife, Christina and is a father to three amazing and wonderful children.
